Explore Our Retreats
Upcoming RetreatStep into one of Minnesota's last remaining Big Woods forests and experience a landscape that once covered much of the southern part of the state.
Together, we'll explore towering maple, basswood, oak, and elm trees while discovering how glaciers, climate, and time shaped this remarkable ecosystem. Along the trail, we'll slow our pace to notice seasonal changes, native plants, birds, and the intricate relationships that make this forest thrive.
This experience blends guided hiking with natural history, ecology, and moments of quiet observation. Rather than simply walking through the woods, we'll deepen our understanding of the landscape and our relationship with it.

Upcoming Retreats
A Gathering at Kinstone
At Kinstone, we gather in a landscape shaped by intention—where earth, stone, and open space create room for presence and reflection.
This is a place designed for slowing down. A place where stillness becomes more accessible, and where attention can soften into observation.
Together, we’ll move through quiet paths and sculpted stone landscapes, allowing time for reflection, conversation, and pause to unfold naturally.
This gathering invites us to step away from urgency and into a slower rhythm—one shaped by stillness, awareness, and connection to place.
At Maiden Rock Bluff, we gather at the edge of the Mississippi River valley—a landscape shaped by time, wind, water, and stone.
From the bluffs above the river, we’ll explore prairie ecosystems, limestone formations, and the layered geological history written into this place. As we move along the trail, we’ll notice how elevation shifts perspective—how distance, wind, and light shape the way we see the land and ourselves within it.
Together, we’ll slow our pace to observe the meeting point between prairie and river, sky and stone, movement and stillness. Through guided hiking, ecological observation, and shared reflection, we’ll explore how this landscape holds both vastness and detail at once.
This gathering invites us into a different rhythm of attention—one shaped by openness, horizon lines, and the quiet intelligence of place.
Where Water Shapes Stone
At Willow River State Park, we’ll spend the day in relationship with a landscape shaped by the steady movement of water over thousands of years.
We begin on the water, moving quietly across the lake as the landscape slowly comes into view—observing reflections, shoreline ecosystems, and the subtle meeting point between forest and current.
From there, we’ll transition into a guided hike through forested trails, waterfalls, and river corridors, following the path of water as it continues to shape the land.
This gathering blends canoeing or kayaking, guided hiking, natural history, and shared conversation, inviting us to experience the land not simply as scenery, but as a living story still being written.
A Gathering at Frontenac State Park
At Frontenac State Park, land and water meet in constant conversation.
Prairie opens into forest.
Limestone bluffs rise above the Mississippi River.
Wind, water, and migration move through the landscape in steady rhythm.
We’ll move slowly through this place—across prairie, through woodland, and along river overlooks—attuning to the quiet systems that shape and connect it.
This gathering is an invitation to notice transition not as a boundary, but as a living part of the landscape.
A place where many stories meet, overlap, and continue.
